friendly reminder that the 'nurses are grown up mean girls' and 'nurses are cops' discourse (in the US, at least) is rooted in anti-union astroturfing to make the public less sympathetic to nurses' labor organizing, and particularly in opposition to House bills H.R.2581 and H.R.3165 (Nurse Staffing Standards for Hospital Patient Safety and Quality Care Act of 2019 and 2021, respectively) but y'all just hate women (:
